Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Govera Technologies, Inc. ("Govera", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website at www.govera.co and when a public agency uses the Govera platform. Govera builds governance software for cities, counties, school districts, special districts, and other public agencies. We treat the information entrusted to us as we would expect an agency to treat the public record: carefully, and only for the purpose it was given.

Information we collect on this website

When you visit www.govera.co we collect standard technical information such as your browser type, device, and pages visited, using privacy-respecting analytics (Google Analytics). If you contact us or request a demo, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, work email, organization, and message.

How we use information

We use website information to operate and improve the site, understand which content is useful, and respond to inquiries. We use the contact information you provide to reply to you, schedule a demo, and share information about Govera. We do not use it for unrelated purposes.

Agency and platform data

When a public agency uses the Govera platform, the agency's documents and records are processed on the agency's behalf under a separate agreement with that agency. Govera does not use agency data to train third-party models, and access is scoped to the agency's own workspace. Each agency controls its own data and decides what is published; Govera never publishes or acts on its own.

We do not sell your personal information

Govera does not sell personal information, and does not share it with third parties except the service providers that help us operate (for example, analytics and hosting), or where required by law.

Cookies

The website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies for analytics and to remember your display preferences (such as light or dark mode). You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Data security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest for platform data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect information consistent with the sensitivity of government records.

Children's privacy

The Govera website and platform are intended for use by public-agency staff and officials, not by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
